Swann Hospitality, the company running The White Hart in Holybourne, entered creditors' voluntary liquidation on 30 October. The pub's website still takes Christmas bookings.

The company that runs The White Hart in Holybourne has gone into liquidation. Swann Hospitality Limited’s members voted on 30 October to wind the company up, and two liquidators were appointed the same day. The notices were published in The London Gazette on Tuesday 3 November.

The Gazette gives the type of liquidation as a creditors’ voluntary liquidation. That is the route a company takes when it cannot pay its debts in full. The notices do not say whether the pub will keep trading.

The appointment notice and the resolution notice give these details:

Companies House shows the company was incorporated on 24 June 2024, with the pub as its registered office. Its status still read “active” on 6 November.

Is the pub still open?

We do not know yet. The pub’s own website was still live on 6 November. It describes a country pub with six bedrooms, offers table and room bookings, carries a “Christmas 2026” menu page and sells gift vouchers. It says the vouchers can be used at The White Hart or at The William Bray.

Nothing on the site mentions the liquidation, and the Gazette notices say nothing about the pub’s future. We will update this story when the pub or the liquidators say what happens next.

What it means for you

  • If you have a Christmas booking or a deposit with The White Hart, check with the pub before the day. Contact details are on its website.
  • If the company owes you money, you are a creditor. The notices give Greenfield Recovery’s number for enquiries as 0121 201 1720.
  • If you hold a gift voucher, ask the pub whether it will still be honoured.
