Twelve new companies registered in Petersfield and Whitehill from 21 August to 23 September, from a fishing shop to a meat retailer. Plus two insolvency notices

Twelve new companies were registered at Companies House with a Petersfield or Whitehill address between 21 August and 23 September. They range from a fishing tackle retailer to a meat shop and a pair of music retailers.

Each entry below gives the company name, the date it was incorporated and the nature of business it declared. We use the Companies House register only. A registered office is often an accountant’s or a director’s address rather than a shop, so we give the town only.

  • Glutagem Limited, Petersfield, 15 September. Wholesale of pharmaceutical goods, specialist food retail and online retail. Record
  • JDRT Pit Masters Limited, Petersfield, 8 September. Retail sale of meat and meat products. It was registered as DRT Pit Masters Limited. Record
  • House of Fishing Limited, Petersfield, 26 August. Retail sale of sports goods, fishing gear, camping goods, boats and bicycles. Record

The two record companies were registered on the same day at the same address as FAI Distribution. That usually points to a shared accountant or formation agent. The register does not say whether any of these companies has opened premises.

Five more new companies turned up in our search for “Petersfield” but are not local. Their addresses are on Petersfield Rise in London, Petersfield Crescent in Coulsdon, Petersfield Avenue in Slough and Petersfield Walk in Bolton. We have left them out.

Closures and insolvency notices

Two company notices in The Gazette this month concern businesses near Petersfield. A third, the company behind the White Horse at Priors Dean, has its own story.

  • Pigeon Hill Limited, South Harting. The High Court made a winding-up order on 9 September, on a petition filed on 20 July. The Official Receiver is the liquidator. The company was incorporated in 2016 and is registered for management consultancy. South Harting is about three miles south-east of Petersfield, over the West Sussex border.
  • DAL Sterling (UK) Limited, Alton. Federal Capital Limited has petitioned to wind the company up, claiming to be a creditor. The petition will be heard at the Business and Property Courts in Manchester on 29 September. The company is registered for other engineering activities. Alton is about ten miles north of Petersfield.

A petition is a claim, not a finding. The company can oppose it at the hearing, and a petition can be dismissed or withdrawn if the debt is settled.

What it means for you

  • If you are owed money by Pigeon Hill Limited, contact the Official Receiver’s office on 0300 678 0016, as set out in the Gazette notice.
  • If you want to support or oppose the DAL Sterling petition, you must tell the petitioner’s solicitor by 4pm on 28 September, under the terms of the notice.
