Eleven companies registered with a Petersfield address between 24 September and 10 October, from two house builders to two software firms and a workspace landlord. Plus six new five-star hygiene ratings.
Eleven new companies were registered at Companies House with a Petersfield address between 24 September and 10 October. Two are house builders, two write software, one plans to let workspace and one will sell clothes. Together they are the busiest fortnight for new registrations in the town since we started counting in August.
Each entry below gives the name, the date of incorporation and the nature of business the founders declared, which is the standard industrial classification on the register. A registered office is not necessarily where a company trades, and a new registration is not proof that anything has opened: it is a statement of intent, on the public record. We do not publish registered office addresses where they may be someone’s home.

Four other registrations in the same period carried “Petersfield” only as a street name, in Romford, Coulsdon and Slough, and are left out. The twelve registered between 21 August and 23 September are in last month’s roundup.
Closures and insolvency notices
The Gazette, the official record of insolvency notices, was offline for maintenance both times we tried it on 10 October, so this fortnight’s closures could not be checked and will be caught up in the next roundup. The one East Hampshire liquidation we know of from the period is the company behind the Pub With No Name at Priors Dean, which entered a creditors’ voluntary liquidation on 5 October; the detail is in our report.
Six new five-star hygiene ratings
The Food Standards Agency’s register added six top ratings for the district since our September roundup, and no rating of 2 or below. Names and dates are as the register records them.
- Carlo Independent Italian Restaurant, 6 High Street, Petersfield: rated 5 on 29 September. (FSA)
- Asda Express PFS Ramshill, Ramshill Service Station, Petersfield: rated 5 on 29 September. (FSA)
- Kirsty’s Cakes & Bakes, a catering business registered in the district: rated 5 on 2 October. (FSA)
- Cain Manor, Churt Road, Headley: rated 5 on 30 September. (FSA)
- St Francis Community Church, Eddeys Lane, Headley Down: rated 5 on 30 September. (FSA)

Headley, Headley Down and Kingsley are near Bordon, about nine to twelve miles north of Petersfield.
What it means for you
- Dealing with a new company? Check it on Companies House first. A company registered a fortnight ago has filed no accounts and has no trading history to inspect, which is normal, but worth knowing before you pay a deposit.
- Two new local house builders and a landscape practice registered in the same fortnight. If you are planning work, the register tells you when a firm was set up and who its directors are.
- Running a food business? A new 5 is worth telling your customers about. The FSA’s register is public, and so is a lower score; a business can ask for a re-inspection or publish a right of reply on the register.
- The Petersfield business directory lists the shops, pubs and services already trading in the town.
