Wylds Farm, Liss: 21 November to 18 December
Wylds Farm’s 2026 opening times are Tuesday to Sunday, 9am to 4pm, closed on Mondays, from Saturday 21 November. Its events list gives the Christmas Experience and pick-your-own trees as running from Saturday 21 November to Friday 18 December, and the farm shop keeps the same dates. No booking is needed. After that, the farm’s home page says there are tree sales only from Saturday 19 to Wednesday 23 December: no tractor rides, shop, hot food or refreshments on those days. Tractor rides and hot food otherwise run from Friday to Sunday.
Entry is free from Tuesday to Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays it is £2 a person or £5 a family (up to two adults and three children), paid at the gate.
Choosing a tree. The farm grows fir and spruce. You can walk the short farm track to the plantation, where the trees are signposted by type and size and the farm’s staff cut the one you pick, or buy one already cut in the yard. Trees are measured, netted and paid for in the netting shed. A tractor and trailer runs to the plantation on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only. If you have mobility needs, the farm says to ask a member of staff and it will arrange transport up to the trees (Wylds Farm).
While you are there. The Après Tree Bar is open daily for mulled wine, ales, hot drinks and brownies; hot street food is on Friday to Sunday. There is a Christmas postbox, a forest trail and alpine-themed games in the barn. You cannot bring your own food or drink. Dogs on leads are welcome on normal days.
Getting there. The farm is on Warren Road, Liss, GU33 7DF (what3words ///hoops.fidget.frogs), and asks drivers to use its suggested approach and exit roads and keep to lane speeds, because of elderly and young neighbours (Wylds Farm, Visit us).
The ticketed evenings at Wylds
The farm also sells three ticketed events through its booking site:
- Wyldsfest, Saturday 14 November, £25. Live music from The Alibi Band, street food and a bar.
- Enchanted Nights, Wednesday 16 to Friday 18 December and Monday 21 to Wednesday 23 December, tickets from £10 to £48. A lit tractor trailer ride around the farm, a walk through hundreds of lights, Mrs Claus, the postbox for letters to Father Christmas and a wishing tree. Under-12-months go free with an adult. Only assistance dogs are allowed (Wylds Farm, Enchanted Nights).
- Après Tree Retro Ski Party, Saturday 19 December, £25, adults only (18 and over). A disco in the barns with DJ Nathan Simpson. The rest of the farm is closed during the party, so there are no trees or shop sales then. The farm says to book taxis well ahead and to bring cash for the bar (Wylds Farm, Après Tree).
Petersfield Christmas Trees: Queen Elizabeth Country Park and Heath Farm
Petersfield Christmas Trees, set up in 2019 by two people from Petersfield, sells Nordmann fir and spruce grown in Hampshire. Its visit page gives two sites for 2026:
| Site | Address | Opens | Hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Queen Elizabeth Country Park | Gravel Hill, PO8 0QE | Saturday 21 November | Weekdays 10am to 4pm, weekends 9am to 4pm |
| Heath Farm | Heath Road East, Petersfield, GU31 4HT | Friday 27 November | Weekdays 10am to 4pm, weekends 9am to 4pm |
Neither site needs booking, and the seller does not give a closing date. It sold out last year: when we checked its site in October, it still read “sold out, both sites closed” from 2025, so the later you leave it, the smaller the choice.
Delivery costs £10 within a five-mile radius of Petersfield; order, then contact the seller with a date that suits (Petersfield Christmas Trees, FAQ). The seller says its Nordmann firs hold their needles, though a few drop when the tree is moved, and that a tree kept away from heat and watered will last past Christmas. Phone 07826 033590 or 07771 577546.
At the country park, the park’s 2026 listing puts the stall in the Meadow car park, selling from Saturday 21 November to Thursday 24 December, weekdays 10am to 4pm and weekends 9am to 4pm. Buyers get 20 minutes free to pick, pay and collect; stay longer and the standard parking charges apply (Queen Elizabeth Country Park). Last year the stall was in the coach bay of the main car park, so look for it in the Meadow car park this time. Our Queen Elizabeth Country Park page has the winter parking charges.

Getting a tree home, and getting rid of it
If you are combining a tree trip with a visit to town, our parking in Petersfield page has the tariffs, and roadworks and travel lists anything that will slow you down. After Christmas, garden waste subscribers can put a real tree out on the first garden round of January, cut into pieces if it is over 6ft; our Christmas bin collections page has the dates. Trees also go in the green waste container at the Petersfield tip, which needs a booked slot.
